Carry on is a collaborative performance that speaks to the weight that is placed on women of color and their bodies as we navigate on a daily basis as supporters, caretakers, and sustainers. In collaboration with Clara Leonor Cruz, concrete sculptures were molded to fit our bodies comfortably when carried properly. The sculptures were carried around Richmond, Va while attempting to complete daily activities. They were carried until the weight would become too heavy to bear, and was then passed to the other person or carried together.
